新規サイト立ち上げ時にはインストールしておきたいプラグイン。
このプラグインを導入することで、sitemap.xmlを自動生成し送信まで行ってくれる。
Google Search Consoleから手動でsitemap.xmlを送信するのは非常に手間がかかる為、プラグインで自動生成から送信まで任せてしまおうというもの。
プラグインインストール
使い方は簡単でまずはWordPressにログイン
※類似のプラグインが多量にある為、プラグイン名・サムネイルを確認する事
英語表記で何のことかわからない場合は右クリックで翻訳
基本的な設定
☑ Notify Google about updates of your site
No registration required, but you can join the Google Webmaster Tools to check crawling statistics.
☑ Notify Bing (formerly MSN Live Search) about updates of your site
No registration required, but you can join the Bing Webmaster Tools to check crawling statistics.
☑ サイトマップの URL を仮想 robots.txt ファイルに追加
The virtual robots.txt generated by WordPress is used. A real robots.txt file must NOT exist in the site directory!
☑ Try to automatically compress the sitemap if the requesting client supports it.
Disable this option if you get garbled content or encoding errors in your sitemap.
☑ HTML形式でのサイトマップを含める

こでれGoogle XML Sitemapsの設定は完了。
新規サイトでは、インデックスされるまでに時間がかかる為、Google XML Sitemapsを早めに導入しテインデックスさせることが望ましい。
